Biography[]

Shawn is an American stage and screen actor, screenwriter, and producer born and raised in Alabama. He is best known as "The Pig" on Justified's sixth and final season on FX and for his costarring turn with Nick Offerman in "The Gunfighter", an internationally acclaimed short film winning multiple awards including the Audience Award at the LA Film Festival.

Shawn attended the University of Alabama where he earned a business degree before moving to New York City. Shawn worked briefly in International Business before a passion was discovered and began to train and work in the theater while studying at private studios and with teachers in New York including Lee Strasberg disciple Tony Greco.

Shawn has worked with directors such as Steve McQueen, Ti West, and Peter Sellers. Shawn appeared in the 2014 Sundance feature "Song One" with Anne Hathaway, MGM's 2012 feature "Soldiers of Fortune", and on television including Person of Interest, Matador, Parks and Recreation and Torchwood: Miracle Day.

Theatrical performances include Trog & Clay: An Imagined History of the Electric Chair at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (UK), The Baby Dance at the Lounge Theater (LA), Coronado with Player King Productions (LA Stage Alliance Winner for "Best Ensemble"), Talk To Me Like The Rain at Theatre 68 (LA), the 40th Anniversary Production of The Boys In The Band at The Coast Playhouse (LA), Fat Men In Skirts at SG Stage (LA), Bus Stop The Gallery Players (NYC), The Last Good Moment of Lily Baker at The Bridge Theater (NYC), Knuckleball at the Soho Playhouse (NYC) as part of the New York Fringe Festival, and Knuckleball at The Exit Theatre (SF) as part of the San Francisco Fringe Festival winning the festival's top two awards for Best Play and Best Overall Production.

Shawn has written his first feature length screenplay entitled "Starwalker" which will be shot in 2015 and released in 2016. He Co-Produced the feature film "Just Like The Son" which appeared at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival and 2006 Rome Film Festival as well as the independent pilot "Nicky's Game" starring Burt Young which premiered at the 2005 NYTVF.
